Quentin Kidd on the Virginia primaries
Quentin Kidd is an associate professor of political science in the Department of Government at Christopher Newport University. He joins Coy Barefoot on the February 14 edition of WINA’s “Charlottesville–Right Now!” to talk about the results of the Virginia primary.
“We would have to go back decades and wouldn’t see the kind of enthusiasm we saw in the Democratic primary and the sort of lack of enthusiasm on the Republican side,” Kidd said. Democrats outvoted Republicans 2-1 on Tuesday. He also breaks down the east-west divide that presented itself in the results, and assesses the General Assembly session post-crossover.
