Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell joined Coy on the October 8, 2008 edition of WINA’s “Charlottesville–Right Now!” to discuss Tuesday’s presidential debate, the rapid approach of Election Day, as well as his bid to become the next Governor of Virginia.
Former U.S. Attorney in Virginia, John Brownlee, recently announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Virginia Attorney General. Brownlee was wrapping-up a visit to Hampton Roads, which included a speech to the Norfolk Republican Party, when J.R. Hoeft of Bearing Drift caught up with him to discuss his background and campaign. On Saturday, April 19th, Senator Creigh Deeds addressed a small crowd at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Democratic Breakfast, and reviewed the recent General Assembly, the one-day veto session scheduled for April 23rd, as well as a possible special session on transportation. Deeds is in his 17th year in the legislature, and has announced he will seek the Democratic nomination in next year’s race to succeed Tim Kaine as Virginia’s Governor. Deeds began his talk by saying that the legislative process can be frustrating.
