Description: Heth relays that the 45th and 50th
Virginia regiments will move from Camp Bee the next day at 5am, and orders that
the quartermaster and commissary supply the transportation and rations necessary.
This letter was written a just several days after the first military engagement
of the war: the First Battle of Bull Run/Manassas. Heth’s division made the first military movements against Union troops at Gettysburg.
