Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park
Big Stone Gap, Virginia
Established 1948 – 2 acres

At less than two acres, it is the smallest of Virginia’s State Parks, but holds an important place within the park system because of its historical and cultural resources. The park was established in the 1940’s and at that time was the western most park in the system. The museum is the oldest continually operated museum in far western Virginia.
