Question by Looking at an Infiniti: Virginia General District Court – Legal Representation, are lawyers allowed to come to court?
Hi,
I’m currently working with a lawyer on a case for an amount of $ 15,000. However, I would prefer to be able to hold a hearing without any lawyers. Is this possible? From what I hear it is possible for Small Claims Court but the amount is limited to $ 5,000.
If lawyers are permitted in Virginia General District Court, how often do plaintiffs choose to not hire a lawyer and represent themselves?

Yes lawyers are allowed in the state of Virginia, they are even allowed in Civil court, there is not limit to where a clients lawyer is able to come to a hearing. (I live in Virginia)
