Joining the Health IT Revolution: Dr. Mostashari Congratulates Community College Consortia Graduates

Dr. Farzad Mostashari, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), US Department of Health and Human Services, delivers a keynote speech at the Northern Virginia Community College graduation ceremony, which is among the first graduating classes of the Community College Consortia Program. He congratulates the students on graduating and explains the importance of ONC Workforce Programs in building the skilled health information technology workforce needed to transform our nation’s health care system. Dr. Mostashari cites examples of the diverse set of Community College Consortia graduates from across the country who have gone on to utilize their experience in a variety of ways to help providers adopt and implement electronic health records.
