are there any group homes for physically disabled people in west virginia?

Question by longhaul_trucker26101: are there any group homes for physically disabled people in west virginia?
i am physically disabled due to an accident and i cannot care for myself. i live with my mother who recently has made it clear i am no longer welcome, and that she wants nothing more to do with me.

short of living under a bridge, or out of a shopping cart, what are my options?

have you contacted your state dept of disability services–

if you are unable to work–do you get SSI/SSDI?

you can can on teh waiting list for section 8 housing– and shoudl be eligible for a home helate nurse if you can’t care for yourself..

the actual number of group homes/supported living places is low

look to seee if there are any CHESIRE homes inyoru area–they are scattered around teh country..

are you willing top move out of state

there is am org called UNIVERSAL INSTITUTE that has homes in NJ-not sure if its physial diability onluy–but their homes and vans seem to be geared toward wheelchair accessibility

nursing homes are an optioin
