What and where was the worst service you’ve ever received in a restaurant? How bad was it?

Question by SouthernPride: What and where was the worst service you’ve ever received in a restaurant? How bad was it?
I’ve traveled all over the country and visited some very large cities (NYC, North Jersey, Dallas, Houston, etc.,) but for some reason my worst experiences have been in Kentucky of all places. Very, very, rude, inconsiderate, impolite service in Louisville (two times, once at Arby’s and once at a hotel) and Frankfort (once there.)

For the record, the BEST service I’ve ever received has been in the South, once in Southhaven, Mississippi and Mobile, Alabama.

A place in Savannah Georgia. Rude. They shoved us at a dirty table and came back with the check before we finished our salad. I felt like I was in the way. Southern hospitality my @ss.

Anyone ever stayed at the Best Western Inn Historic Area in Williamsburg Virginia? ?

Question by Need4Speed: Anyone ever stayed at the Best Western Inn Historic Area in Williamsburg Virginia? ?
On Best Western’s web site, there aren’t any pictures of the hotel rooms…just the outside, lobby, and dining areas.

However, on Priceline.com, the photos of the rooms look really nice for this hotel. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there recently, and if so, do the rooms look like what’s on priceline.com?

Thanks!!!

Stayed there last year – pics are pretty accurate. This really is a pretty nice hotel and the rates are very reasonable. They had free wireless and a really nice indoor pool.

Have you ever felt left out of the World Jewish Conspiracy?

Question by : Have you ever felt left out of the World Jewish Conspiracy?
I do, because I’m not Jewish, but I wonder if there are any Jews out there who feel that way. Personally, I feel really left out of the Ivy League good old boy network AND the West Virginia good old boy network. I mean, my great grandfather was a sheriff’s deputy and shot at miners during the Blair Mountain Mine War. I should get something out of that, right?

BACKSTORY: Clint’s car came back from the body shop totalled. He bought a new fender ( + S/H), headlight ( + S/H), and blinker (not pictured, ), and, with GREAT HELP from his friend Matthew G, got it fixed for 0 (had to spend another on bolts and bulbs at the hardware store). Meanwhile, Farmer’s Insurance paid him out 50 (they would have paid out 0 more if I’d let them keep it). Major profit! Well, right after the snow melted, his tie rod broke, and sway rod was about to break, so it was another 0 on top of that. But still: $ ~700 out, 50 in. Major profit.

Even if I could somehow gotten a car as good as mine for half of what they paid me, this was STILL the most economical route.

Let this be a lesson to people who let their insurance "total" their car, and then go out and buy a new one, pretending that they are helpless and "have" to. BULLPUCKEY! One more lesson that reinforces the concept that doing things the "normal" way is almost never the most perseonally advantageous way. Thank you, "Bob", for your great SLACK!

You can also see my new closet shelves behind the package. Special thanks to Dad for helping me cut it. I can’t stain it until the snow is done melting, and I take it outside. Currently not using shelves in my closet, and it’s almost easier this way!
