Can you recommend a good satellite internet provider in Virginia?

Question by Luna: Can you recommend a good satellite internet provider in Virginia?
Since moving to the wonderful world of hickville, we’d been stuck with dial-up internet. A year or so back my parent checked out Wildblue and Hughsnet, and we decided to go with Wildblue. Everything was great at first and while the internet isn’t “blazing fast” it works a bit better than what we had before. Downloads are SO unbelievably annoying, especially with the constant need to update software such as Avast, Sims 3, and iTunes/iTouch software.

I do believe we’ve had Wildblue for almost 2 years so our contract will be up. I know internet satellite in general just sucks, but there’s no way we can get internet such as Comcast or Verizon FIOS.

Soooo the big question is, is there any satellite internet providers that people have actually liked, or have read good reviews about?

Well, some of the internet providers aren’t always legit at times. Sometimes when downloads are slow, it may be because of your computers RAM, or memory space to have a better speed timing. If you’d want, you can buy a wireless connector for your house, maybe from Best buy, if you are willing to pay. That is what i personally use as well. You can also buy memory cards and hard drives for a decent amount of money. $ 50-$ 250. If you believe you’d wish to stay with satellite internet providers, i found a website for you that you may be interested in my sources… Hope I helped.

Can anyone recommend a divorce lawyer near Alexandria, Virginia?

Question by Heather H: Can anyone recommend a divorce lawyer near Alexandria, Virginia?
I’m looking to find a good lawyer that practices in or around the Alexandria/Springfield area. I’m hoping this divorce isn’t particularly complicated, but knowing my soon-to-be-ex, you never know. I’m also hoping to find someone that isn’t going to cost me a fortune.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Can you recommend some trip planning software for off-road 4×4 Jeeping?

Question by Elisabeth L: Can you recommend some trip planning software for off-road 4×4 Jeeping?
My brother loves driving his Jeep Wrangler on off-road trails. I would like to get him some trip planning software, for Christmas. It would not need to be GPS-compatible, but he does have a Garmin, in case that is relevant. He lives in Virginia and mostly goes Jeeping in Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. He has excellent computer skills, so software complexity would not be a problem. I have seen “TOPO” map software, but don’t know if that would be the best choice. I would appreciate advice from any of you Jeepers, out there. 🙂 Thank you!

i go off roading mostly in Tennessee and Kentucky. I have found most computer mapping software totally useless for off road trails. The TOPO maps do a good job of showing the terrain and are helpful in knowing how steep and area is, however, they usually don’t show the trails very well.

I have had the best luck just getting paper maps form the local parks where I run. If you know which parks he visits, check the forums for those parks and see if anyone has made a custom map of the park.
