Description: Text in full: “Dear General – I yesterday
rec’d an intimation that Genl. Trimble’s report of the Capture of Manassas (which
he ought to have submitted to me) contains matter which requires my attention.
I beg to request that you will have a copy made for me, of such part as interest
me, in order that I may be heard in reference thereto. There is now news here
old Milroy makes me itch to get hold of him. The bearer will wait for the report.
